Digital RF Monitoring Solution Examples
Note: The size of the screen used is based upon the operational requirement of the RF system; how much (if any) information needs to be displayed on one screen at a time. All HMI’s (3.8″ to 15″) support multiple screens.
Figure 1 depicts a 3.8″ HMI suitable for small systems: combiner input or single transmitter output. It could also be used for antenna switch frames displaying upper and lower stack power levels.
Figure 2 removes the local screen display altogether, and uses the remote control system to poll all the sensors in the plant directly.
Figure 3 shows how a 12″ screen might be used on larger systems allowing the monitoring all of the devices in the plant. The larger screen has the ability to also display web pages. In both cases the remote control system is gathering data from the HMI using modbus TCP/IP.
